DESCRIPTION:In October 1998\, a twenty-one-year-old University of Wyoming student was kidnapped\, brutally beaten\, and left tied to a fence in the middle of the prairie outside Laramie\, Wyoming. His bloody and battered body would not be discovered until the next day\, and he would die several days later in the hospital. His name was Matthew Shepard\, and he was the victim of this brutal assault because he was gay.

Featuring original and historical members David Freiberg and drummer Donny Baldwin\, along with longtime members Chris Smith on keyboards and synth bass\, Jude Gold on lead guitar and GRAMMY-Nominee Cathy Richardson anchoring the female lead vocal spot made famous by the inimitable Grace Slick (who invited her to sing in her place at Jefferson Airplane’s Lifetime Achievement Award acceptance ceremony).
