DESCRIPTION:Union Street Gallery hosts DERBY DAY\n\nOpen Wine & Beer Bar! Food from Scrementi’s! Live Music!\n\nWe are doing Derby Day at the Gallery this year! Along with the change of venue\, we are going for a 1920s theme for the party. Not required\, but certainly encouraged is any variation of Derby and/or 1920s.\nAlong with the new location\, we have an open bar for Wine & Beer this year. We will have delicious appetizers from Scrementi’s. SUMMARY:USG Critique and Artist Talk
DESCRIPTION:USG Critique – 12-2pm. Gallery Coordinator and local professor\, John Gutierrez\, will facilitate these critiques. Expect to be able to dialogue within the interpretive\, formal\, and philosophical aspects of work. Each critique will be 10-15 minutes\, which includes a brief introduction to the piece from the artist. There will be a sign-up sheet to determine order. You are encouraged to attend if you have not participated in a formal critique before or recently to get a sense of the event. All are welcome!\n\n  \nJoe Rauen Artist Talk – 3-5pm. Joe will be talking about his Unknown Musical Objects and playing some of them. There will also be time for questions.
