DESCRIPTION:The second production of The Drama Group’s 89th season -TARTUFFE \nOpens December 6 at 7:30pm and runs thru December 15 \nWritten to coincide with the 2016 Presidential election\, this contemporary reworking of Moliere’s classic comedy and cautionary tale of frauds\, cheats\, scoundrels and interloper is set in the home of a wealthy businessman who’s duped into supporting the political campaign of an entirely unscrupulous charlatan. Over 350 years have passed since Moliere penned Tartuffe\, and yet it remains one of the most well-known and often-produced comedies in the Western canon. This is partly due to its potent afterlife—it’s ability to resonate with our present-day anxieties.

DESCRIPTION:The Tall Grass Arts Association’s annual Holiday Show\, which opens on Saturday\, November 23 from 11 – 4\, turns the Tall Grass Gallery into a gift shop for the season. The show\, entitled Small Gifts\, will feature smaller\, more affordable two-dimensional work on the gallery walls and a large selection of affordable three-dimensional work on tables and pedestals.\nReception – November 23\, 2019  11am – 4pm  (includes Doll Making by Jatun Rollins)\nTwenty-three artists will be exhibiting on the walls including artists who are familiar to Tall Grass members and friends and several who are new this year. The participating wall artists are Darcy Berg\, Mary Bookwalter\, Maureen Cribbs\, Linda Curl\, Rita Dianni-Kaleel\, Val Fischer\, Andrea Fox\, Margi Hafer\, Linda Haynes\, Fran Hollander\, Seung Jae Kim\, Claudia McCarthy\, Janice Meister\, Chuck Michaels\, Patricia Moore\, Julia Oehmke\, Janice Pratt\, Ginny Raftery\, Richard Schmidt\, Mary Ann Trzyna\, Christopher Tuscan\, Marikay Peter Witlock and Lidia Wylangowska. Their artworks include photography\, painting\, pastels\, stitchery and mixed media.
